Maine Coon cats cattery "Baltic Wind *Lt" was registered in the international felinologist`s federation (FIFe) in 2007 April. It belongs to Lithuanian felinologist`s association "Bubastė".
Let me introduce myself and introduce my plentiful family. I am Ramunė, my husband is Sigitas, and four our children: the oldest son Justinas, middle daughter Ieva, junior Lukas and the youngest one Gediminas, also, two dogs of cvergshnaucer breed Bosas and Rojus, as well as the Maine Coon cats Mauras and Safyra (this is how we call them at home), their daughter Ditė, and Vikontas who has recently came to us from Poland. We live in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, nearly in the very heart of it, not too far away from the Old Town
Our pets are the members of the family. They walk freely about the rooms and enjoy our attention and affection. They all take an active part in our activities: "assist" in housekeeping, doing lessons, working with the computer, playing and having a rest.
As I recall myself, we always had a pet at home. We have learned ourselves and taught our children to take care of nature's small kids.
We have spotted a Maine Coon cat at the show. We have been fascinated by its impressive size and wanted to learn more about this breed. So we started looking for information. Unfortunately, practically there was no info in Lithuanian. Consequently we got involved in browsing websites of foreign countries, have been deeply interested and have been looking for contacts with people who already had these gentle giants. We grew fond of such kittens and made a wish to acquire one. We have been in search for a year and a half. At last, after long quest and waiting, a black and white fluffy cute living being came to our home in spring of 2006.
